Beijing: After his eight-gold medal winning haul at the Beijing Olympics, Michael Phelps is back in China.
Phelps is shooting for a TV commercial for the new Mazda6 model at the Water Cube in Beijing in what is seen as the biggest deal for a Western celebrity by a Chinese company.
Phelps has not entered the pool in a competitive event since the Olympics, choosing to keep himself busy with endorsements and charity events.
He is however said to be preparing to return to his fitness routine very soon and get back into shape
"My shape is non-existent right now. I'm far from being in shape but I think, I talked to my coach today and Tuesday is the official day that I start, I guess a week from tomorrow is the official day I start getting back into water and really start getting more serious and I was able to work out yesterday and today a little bit and just starting to get back into a normal routine," said Phelps.
