It is a peace less and place less situation for 'Parie' that is pauper at the box office for the investment made by BDT Abhiyanthara Chitra group of friends Arun Tumati, MC Gowda, Ramakrishna Bhatta, Nithyananda N, Mogan Babu, Divija K and Chandra Sindhogi and Trivikrama all residing in USA invested on the ability of friend Sudhir Atthavar.
The film 'Parie' has lost the entire investment of Rs.3.5 crores. Director Sudhir Atthavar has given a budget of Rs.80 lakhs for the first print of the movie.
In addition to losses for the NRI Kannadigas it is a helpless situation because of the behavior of the friend Sudhir Atthavar.
The attacking statements of Sudhir Atthavar from the media reports even disturbed the producers. Sudhir Atthavar says in one of the advertisements that his film 'Parie' withstood the entire onslaught from the media and running successfully on the third day of the film. By that time the film was forcibly removed from the main theatres.
On last Monday Sudhir Atthavar sent messages to media to attend the press meet but did not turn up. Producers Trivikram and Arun were present. They explained the tale of woes related to making of 'Parie' Kannada cinema.
Sudhir Attavar with three stalwarts - MS Sathyu, Nimay Ghosh and Usha Uthup services to this project did not come to help.
Rakesh, Nagakiran, Sathya, Niveditha, Harshika Poonacha, Usha Utup, Heemangini, Masood Akthar, Mandya Ramesh, Kashi, Veena Nayar, Vikram Udayakumar, Srinivas Prabhu, Sharat Lohitashva, Vidhydhar Shetty, Hemalatha, Vinay, Prakash, Venkata Rao, Srivatsa, Manjayya, Chikku, Master Pawan and others are in the cast of 'Parie'. Mass Madha for Stunts, Aravind and Rajakamal for choreography, Veera Samarth for music, Ananth Urs for camera are the major credits of the film.
Time and again the first time directors are losing the best opportunities given to them by not saving the producer of their investment. It is a realization time for all newcomers.
