Parents held for sons crime

SONEPUR: Tarbha police on Thursday arrested the parents of murder suspect Sumanta Rana (20). His father Upendra Rana and mother Shanti Rana have been forwarded to Sonepur Court.Sumanta had allegedly killed one Kalakanhu Podh (11) on Monday night.Sumanta had given the police a slip after he was detained for questioning. The recovery of Kalakanhu’s body from an agricultural field flared up the situation with the villagers resorting to arson.Sonepur SP Dasrathi Nayak had suspended the ASI of Kamsara Police Outpost, Nityanand Mantri on charges of dereliction of duty on Wednesday.Preliminary investigation revealed that Sumanta’s parents had instigated him to commit the crime over previous enmity.
