Panel to study school education system

CHENNAI: The State government has constituted an expert committee consisting of former vice chancellors, educationists and others, to look into the shortcomings in the school education system. The committee will look into multiple aspects, from syllabi to examinations and infrastructure.The committee will be headed by School Education Minister NR Sivapathy. The members include School Education Secretary D Sabitha, former Anna University VC E Balasubrusamy, former HOD of Education Department of Madras University PS Balasubramanian, former CBSE Director G Balasubramanian, among others. Director of Teacher Education Research and Training K Devarajanwill will serve as the Member Secretary of the committee.
