Pak military stands exposed: Indian Americans

Washington: Congratulating the US special forces' for the successful operation of killing Osama Bin Laden in a highly secured compound just 800 yards away from Pakistani Military Academy in Abbottabad, Indian Americans said that Pakistani army now stands exposed in view of these new revelations.

"The Pakistani military that has institutionalised terror as a proxy war weapon stands exposed despite dubious assertions to the contrary, of its close relationships with al Qaeda and the Taliban.

The real test for the global community is whether it is brave enough to call out and expose Pakistan's double game," said Suhag A, an Indian American.

According to public records, since 2001, the US has given Pakistan over $ 17 billion in military and humanitarian aid to fight Islamic insurgency and invest in its infrastructure, Shukla of the Washington-based Hindu American Foundation said.

"But no serious progress has been made in dismantling the Islamist terror infrastructure that fuelled a decades old conflict in India s state of Jammu and Kashmir, supports the ongoing instability in Afghanistan and perpetrated the Mumbai attacks of 2008," he said.

Shukla pointed out that HAF's upcoming annual Hindu human rights report once again censures Pakistan for serious persecution of Hindus and other minorities in Pakistan, and that they have been "disenfranchised for decades by the same ideology that brought attacks to America s borders.

"The Indian American Conservative Council (IACC) in a statement* *thanked US Special Forces and intelligence services for the killing of Osama bin Laden.

"While there will be politicians in Washington who try to take credit for this extraordinary action, we know that this recognition goes only to those men and women who persevered for years to capture bin Laden, and for those men who actually conducted the operation," said IACC chairman Dino Teppara.

"While we are grateful for this news, we are troubled by the capture and killing of bin Laden in Pakistan.

This clearly shows that Pakistan is not an American ally in the war on terrorism, but in fact an enabler of terrorism against the United States and its allies like India.

We should never forget 9/11 and the families who forever lost their loved ones on that horrific day.

We hope this action may help bring closure to the unbelievable loss they have suffered," Tappera said.
