BANGALORE: The City Civil and Sessions Court postponed the hearing of film actor Darshan’s case to Tuesday after reserving the orders on his bail application.Judge R B Boodihal heard the arguments of both the counsels on Monday. Advocate S K Venkata Reddy argued for Darshan and brought complainant Vijayalakshmi’s willingness for reconciliation with the actor to the court’s notice. He also argued that there were no dowry related charges against the actor.Venkata Reddy cited a Supreme Court observation that if the husband and wife want to end the case, then their interest should be respected. It may be recalled that Vijayalakshmi had earlier stated that she wants to withdraw her complaint against Darshan. However, the court had not accepted her appeal and rejected the bail application filed by the actor’s wife. However, the public prosecutor Agasi Mani objected granting bail to the actor and told the court that the accused is an influential man. He alleged that the actor had pressurised the complainant. Darshan is capable of tampering the evidences, he had argued. Darshan is facing allegations of assaulting and threatening his wife.
