Odisha government orders judicial probe into the chit fund scam
The role of politicians and bureaucrats will also be probed in Odisha's chit fund scam.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has ordered a judicial probe into the chit fund scam. The government has requested the High Court to appoint a sitting judge to probe the scam and has requested to finish the probe in three months. The role of politicians and bureaucrats will also be probed.

CNN-IBN had reported a political nexus in Odisha's Rs 20,000 crore investment scam, following which the crime branch arrested the owner of another financial company. The arrested owner of Artha Tatwa, Pradip Sethi, alleged that ministers, MLAs, top politicians and bureaucrats are also involved in the financial scam.

He claimed that he has video and audio evidence to prove the involvement of politicians. The Artha Tatwa group has duped more than 50,000 depositors. The Seashore Group of companies, which is the main defaulter, also allegedly enjoyed Biju Janata Dal's patronage for the past eight years.
