CHENNAI: The government on Wednesday clarified that family card holders need not buy things like soaps to get the free rice and other commodities provided at the ration shops.Rumours have been spread that the card holders should buy other items to get the rice and other commodities through the PDS. There are no such conditions, an official release here clarified.
