A nine-year-old child, who was kidnapped from a place under Ghorasahan in East Champaran district since July 17, was freed on Sunday from a village within the district.
Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar said that the boy name is Shivam Kumar and he is son of a fish trader Sujeet Kumar.
The boy was on Sunday freed from Sonebala Dakshin Patti village of East Champaran district by police.
The boy was kidnapped on July 17 when he was going to school from his home, the SP said adding a ransom demand of Rs 15 lakh was made to his family.
Four persons, including two natives of Nepal, have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of the boy.
A country-made revolver, four bullets, one motorcycle and three mobile phones have been recovered from the kidnappers.
