NIA's chargesheet in 2014 Bodo-Muslim violence case exposes nexus between forest officials and NDFB
Four local forest officials and six members of NDFB have been chargesheeted.

Guwahati: The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in the 2014 Bodo-Muslim violence case, which claimed at least 78 lives. The chargesheet exposes a nexus between forest officials and National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).

Four local forest officials and six members of NDFB have been chargesheeted.

A pre-meditated killing of three members of a family had triggered the violence. NDFB cadres used arms and ammunition of Bansbari Forest office during the attack.

Thirteen forest officials had been arrested by Assam's Special Task Force(STF).

The orders to unleash violence had come from top leadership of the NDFB group. The intention was to create communal disturbance and destabilse the region.

Thousands of tribals had fled their homes in fear following the deadly attack by Bodo militants in Assam.
