Central Govt Sacks Trainee Officer Puja Khedkar From IAS Service Amid Forgery Row

The Central government has discharged Civil Services trainee officer Puja Khedkar from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with immediate effect, sources said on Saturday. “Vide Order dated 6th September, 2024 the Central Government discharges Ms Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, IAS Probationer (MH:2023), from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under Rule 12 of IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954, with immediate effect,” the sources said. Five Killed In Manipur Gunfire As Rocket Attacks And Drone Bombings Escalate Violence

Five people died in an exchange of gunfire that occurred early Saturday between Kuki and Meitei groups in Jiribam district amid a fresh bout of violence in the northeastern state. Police said that one person was shot dead in his sleep while four armed persons were killed in subsequent exchange of fire. Militants entered the house of the person who lived alone in an isolated location around 5 km from the district headquarters and shot him dead in his sleep. Read more
