Gagandeep Singh has been selected for the Indian judo coaching camp for the Commonwealth Games Judo Championship to be held betweenJanuary 21 and 26 at Cardiff in England. The camp will be held at SAI Centre in Bhopal. Meanwhile, Jaipur District Badminton Association (JDBA) is going to organise a Corporate Badminton Championship from August 31 to September 1 at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. According to JDBA, as many as 15 entries have been received so far and interested players can submit their entries by August 25. Atul Gupta will be the tournament convener and Anil Singh will be the chief referee of the tournament.
Jaipur: 50 lakh families to be added under food security net
The state government has decided that an additional 50 lakh families will be brought under the food security net. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot late on Tuesday. The cabinet also decided to set up a Lok Seva Guarantee Commission to provide time-bound public services in 18 government departments. To identify the additional 50 lakh families the government will start a campaign in all districts from August 20. These families would be in addition to the existing 38.83 lakh BPL families.

Kai Po Che star Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra’s chemistry has become the talk of the town ever since the first track of Shuddh Desi Romance, Tere Mere Beech Mein, was released last month. The duo was seen shooting for the next track, Ladki Ghumaega, at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Sri Ganganagar: Students demand extension of re-admission dates at colleges
Due to the late declaration of results, 500 students have been unable to get re-admission in colleges at Ganganagar. Now students are demanding an extension for the last date of re-admission. As per rules, one can apply for a re- admission within 15 days after the declaration of results. However, they could also apply for re-admission if they have an undertaking stating that results are pending. RC Suthar principal Dr BRA government college said, upto last year, readmission forms were accepted as per above rules but this year college education directorate had not issued any such instructions. Immediately after receipt of orders of directorate, renewal of admission forms will be accepted.
