HYDERABAD: As many as 76 candidates filed their nominations on the fifth day on Wednesday for 18 Assembly seats and three persons filed for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat taking the total number to 141 in the ensuing bypolls.Speaking to the media Wednesday, state electoral officer Bhanwarlal said as many as 3,292 belt shops have been closed in the areas going for bypolls and Rs 21.55 crore cash seized.Bhanwarlal said with the cooperation of police and excise officials liquor flow from Karnataka has been curbed to Chittoor and Anantapur districts. The CEO said 12 expenditure observers have arrived in Hyderabad.
