Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his Plenary speech at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. He will also interact with 120 members of the International Business Council on Tuesday, which is a part of the WEF.

During his keynote address at the 2018 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the distinction between good terrorists and bad terrorists was a flawed one. “Terrorism is dangerous, but equally dangerous is the artificial difference created between good terrorists and bad terrorists,” said PM Modi. Modi also included, in his list of global challenges, the crisis of climate change and protectionism. Modi is the first Prime Minister from India to participate in a forum meeting in two decades after the then Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda in 1997. The leader, in the course of his 24-hour visit, is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Sweden Prime Minister Stefan Lofven on Tuesday. On Monday, PM Modi held a roundtable meeting with the CEOs of top global companies before his keynote address at the plenary session at WEF. Under the tagline of “India means business”, the roundtable was attended by 40 CEOs of global companies and 20 from India.
