Days after a drunk woman driver killed two people in Mumbai, another woman has now been held in the Bandra area of the Maharashtra capital.
The woman was apprehended by Mumbai police during a drunken driving check in Bandra Reclamation. She was reportedly in a drunken state and playing loud music in his car.
Following this, she was asked to get out of the car. The woman, however, refused to comply and instead locked herself inside her car.
"We tested her for drunken driving. We told her we will investigate but she went inside the car and locked herself and didn't come out, so we had to call more police force including lady constables. We will conduct investigation," said a police official.
After much effort, the police had to finally break the car's window to get the woman out. According to police, the woman even tried to escape from the spot. She was, however, taken to the police station and booked for drunken driving.
