HYDERABAD: Three government employees have been caught taking bribe in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Ananatapur districts while an police inspector in Cyberabad has been sentenced to imprisonment by a court for possessing disproportionate assets.ACB sleuths caught T Shyamala, mandal parishad development officer (MPDO) of Koyyur mandal in Visakhapatnam district, on Tuesday when she took `3,800 as bribe from M Valasaiah, the coordinatior of Sakshara Bharathi at Bodharalla in Koyyuru mandal for issuing remuneration cheques for the period of three months. The bribe money was recovered from the spice box in the kitchen of the MPDO, an ACB official release said on Tuesday.In another case, K Jyotheeswara Rao, additional assistant engineer of AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited at Gantyada in Vizianagaram district, was caught at his residence on Monday night when he took `45,000 from KP Seetharama Swamy, owner of Sri Sai Varalakshmi Agro Foods Rice Mill, Kotarabilli in Vizianagaram to process his application for conversion of the rice mill electricity service category from LT to Category-III B (HT).Shyamala and Jyotheeswara Rao were produced in a special court for ACB cases in Visakhapatnam. M Sriramulu, VRO of Velichemala in NP Kunta mandal in Anantapur district, was caught in the office of the NP Kunta tehsildar when he took `2,000 as bribe from a person to issue a pattadar passbook.
