Mayawati transfers 34 IAS officers
Mayawati continued with the shuffling of her administration for a third on Tuesday by transferring 34 IAS officers.

New Delhi: UP Chief Minister Mayawati continued with the shuffling of her administration for a third on Tuesday, when she transferred 34 Indian Administrative Service officers, including 25 District Magistrates.

Within hours of taking over, the CM had carried out a major reshuffle in police and bureaucracy by transferring 173 IPS officers, including 12 IGs, 27 DIGs and almost all district police chiefs. She had also suspended three officials, including two IAS officers for dereliction of duty, and overhauled the CM's Secretariat by creating the post of a Cabinet Secretary and appointing two Principal Secretaries.

The Mayawati government also appointed a new director of information besides one more secretary to the chief minister. Sudhakar Tripathi was named the director of information while Devendra Swarup will be the secretary to Mayawati, officials here said. The state government had on Monday appointed two principal secretaries and six secretaries to the chief minister.

On Tuesday, Mayawati targeted the administrative setup, reshuffling a number DMs and commissioner-level officers. Sudhir Kumar Srivastava, DM Kannauj, was named DM, Bahraich; Mukesh Kumar Meshram, DM Meerut, will be DM, Agra; Bhuvnesh Kumar, DM Bareilly, will be DM Aligarh; Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, DM Kushinagar, will take change as DM Etah; M Devraj, DM Rampur will be DM Bareilly; Sanjiv Kumar, special secretary, agriculture production commissioner (APC), has been sent as DM Pratapgarh, while earlier incumbent Amit Gupta will be DM Etawah.

Anil Garg, additional CEO, Greater Noida, has been sent as DM Faizabad; Leena Johri, additional director, UP administation and

management academy, will be DM Barabanki; SP Dikshit, principal secretary (APC), has been made DM Maharjganj; Ramashankar Sahu, principal secretary, home guards, civil security and political pension department, will be DM Kushinagar; Chandrabhanu, DM Etah, will be DM Lucknow; Navdeep Rinwa, director local bodies Lucknow, has been sent as DM Lakhimpur Kheri.

Devendra Nath Dubey, additional registrar cooperatives wil be DM Rae Bareli; Nitishwar Kumar, DM Barabanki is the new DM Meerut; Shravan Kumar Sharma, DM Shravasti will be DM Muzaffarnagar; Anil Kumar Sagar, DM Siddharthnagar will take charge as DM Moradabad; Ram Sanjivan, director of silk, has been made DM Rampur; Veena Kumari Meena, special secretary technical education, will be made DM Varanasi; Ajay Kumar Shukla, principal secretary home, will be DM Mainpuri; Rajendra Prasad, additional CEO, Taj Expressway Authority, will be DM Chitrakoot.

Umesh Kumar Mittal, DM Muzaffarnagar is new DM Banda; Anil Kumar (III) staff officer, chief secretary will be DM Hamirpur; Sanyukta Samaddar, DM Banda has been sent as member (judicial) revenue board, Allahabad; Raveendra, special secretary, women welfare, will be member (judicial) revenue board, Allahabad; Aparna U, additional commissioner, trade tax, Noida will be DM Jaunpur; Jai Prakash Mishra, special secretary, religious endowments, has been sent as DM Ambedkarnagar.

Netram, member (judicial), revenue board, Lucknow will be principal secretary, agriculture; Devendra Chaudhary, principal secretary, religious affairs is principal secretary rural development; Ram Kumar, chairman, administrative tribunal is principal secretary social welfare; Ashok Kumar, secretary home guard, civil security and political pension department will be secretary chief minister; Kunwar Fateh Bahadur has been appointed as principal secretary revenue board; Sri Krishna, principal secretary sports will be the new principal secretary cooperative department, while earlier incumbent Pradeep Shukla has been transferred as principal secretary transport.
