Man sets 3 bikes on fire

BANGALORE: In a fit of rage over family dispute, a 26-year-old man set three bikes, parked at his in-law’s house in J P Nagar on fire. Following the incident, the police arrested the accused. Anand, a resident of J P Nagar, and an  employee with a pharmaceutical company, was married to the daughter of Bagalkot Lokayukta Dy SP, S R Siddalingannavar, a few years ago. The Dy SP’s family is residing in J P Nagar first phase.According to the police, Anand is a habitual drunkard and allegedly harassed his wife. Unable to bear the alleged harassment, his wife had returned to her parents’ home a few months back and this had led to dispute between the two families. On Monday night, an infuriated Anand came near his wife’s house in an inebriated state. In a fit of rage, he poured petrol on three bikes and set them on fire. Following the incident, the J P Nagar police arrested Anand. He was produced before the local court in connection with the case.
