Five persons allegedly murdered a man over land dispute in Annur village of HD Kote taluk on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Kempegowda. According to the complainant Devaraju, son of Kempegowda, Basavaraju, Mahadeva, Parashivappa, Nanjundappa and Guruswamy murdered his father.
“At 9 am on Sunday, the accused took away my father and knocked him down. Even though I pleaded with them not to hit my father, they kicked him on the chest after he fell on the ground. We tried to shift him to the government hospital in HD Kote immediately after the incident, but he died on the way,” said Devaraju in the complaint.
