Make-up Workshop

KOCHI:  Coinciding with the inauguration of the Pattanam Designory Academy of Make up and Fashion Art, a two-day workshop, ‘Chamayam 2011’, will be held at IMA House, Kaloor on October 1 and 2.  The workshop aims to introduce participants to the world of fashion and beauty, said Pattanam Rasheed, the national award winning makeup artist and chairman of the academy. He said that the place would offer a proper channel for beginners interested in entering the field. And for those who are already in the profession, it would be the right place to fine tune and refresh their skills. The workshop has sessions on beauty designory, bridal designory, hair designory, high fashion and glamour designory and prosthetic and character designory.  It will have acclaimed artists demonstrating how to apply make up to create a variety of looks. It will introduce quality products and brands in the industry and their proper application. The session on hair will also cover different types of wigs and their fixing.  Pattanam Designory Academy of Make up and Fashion Art will offer diploma courses in professional make-up art and beauty artistry. There will also be short term courses in hair designory, bridal designory, traditional and theatre designory, beauty designory and prosthetic designory. The place boasts of well equipped modern class room and studio facilities. The academy will be inaugurated on October 2 by Yesudas.
