CHENNAI: A spirit of compassion and humanism has to be built in the people, as all religions and all the great saints’ messages are of oneness, unity, love and kindness to guide us in the right path to lead a truthful living said, Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah. Delivering the guest lecture during the 2611th Janm Kalyanak celebrations of Bhagwan Mahaveer at Sri Jain Dadwadi, Ayanavaram on Thursday, the Governor said, “All human beings should act according to the words of Mahaveer in order to walk to the path for moksha possessing the three jewels of rational perception, rational knowledge and rational conduct”.He added, “Today the world is facing challenges and requires a commitment to save the environment. We need to put in a concerted effort from all spheres to conserve and preserve nature in its pristine form.”The Governor congratulated the Jain community for their services and for their support in all spheres for the welfare of the people and society.Addressing the gathering, Acharya Rajyashsuri Ji MS said, “People are not performing violence with ignorance but with so many other reasons behind it. All human beings should join together and practice the principle of non-violence.” RK Jain IAS, Divisional Commsioner, Jodhpur, L C Jain, President, Shree Terapanthi Jain Parishad, Saints and followers were present.
