Daughter of an artist, Lakshmi is passionate about dancing and acting. She is a trained dancer in many forms- Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Kathakali.
In 'Sundara Pandian', Lakshmi played a college student in love with the protagonist, Sasikumar. She received acclamation from both critics as well as audiences for her performance.
Her next film 'Kumki' will she her playing a tribal girl. It's a debut film of the actress in Tamil cinema but 'Sundara Pandian' marked it release before 'Kumki'.
