BHUBANESWAR: Former urban development minister and BJP Legislature Party Leader KV Singhdeo on Wednesday dared the State Government to set up any kind of probe into allegations of irregularities in the purchase for implementation of solid waste management plan in urban local bodies during his tenure.Singhdeo was reacting to allegations made by Bishnu Das (BJD) that there were large-scale purchases during his tenure without any tender. Das alleged that purchases worth Rs. 100 crore were made for 70 ULBs.The BJP leader, however, said there was not an iota of truth in these allegations. “If there is any truth about my involvement in any irregularities and corruption, I will resign from the House,” he said. Singhdeo instead demanded that the Government should inquire into the allegations against all departments. The former minister said funds under the scheme came in 2009 by which time the BJP had quit the Government. The funds were utilised later, he added.
