The Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) has started efforts to tie up with Mosfilm, the biggest studio in Europe, KSFDC chairman Sabu Cherian said on Thursday.
He was speaking after releasing ‘Thirobhavicha Samrajyam’, a work by Dr Sudha Warrier. Sabu Cherian pointed out that many Indian films were being shot in Russia now. Soviet-Russian cinema has influenced Kerala society a lot.
‘Thirobhavicha Samrajyam’ is an adaptation of the screenplay of ‘Vanished Empire’, a film by the noted director Karen Shakhnazarov. Russia’s honorary consul in Thiruvananthapuram Ratheesh C Nair, Dr Sudha Warrier, actor Madhupal and Suresh Babu spoke.
