KOCHI: Only a few days are left for the monsoon to set in and still the condition of many city roads remains pathetic with the KSEB digging roads at many places and not completing the work on time. The state of the roads at places including Jos junction, Pallimukku and Convent Road has led to severe road blocks. The KSEB had been laying cables at these stretches for more than a couple of weeks. When contacted, the KSEB officials said that they would tar the road at the earliest. They said that they would not wait for the PWD to do the work. Apart from the KSEB, the Kochi Corporation and the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) have also dug roads at many places. The Corporation seems to be helpless as the work has to be completed by the KSEB and the KWA.
