Keralite kidnapped in Philippines

KOZHIKODE:  A Koyilandy native was kidnapped from Philippines on Wednesday night.
Kolara Veettil Biju, 36, working in a company in Kuwait, was kidnapped by a group of around 25 armed persons, who claimed themselves as members of Abu Sayyaf, an Islamist separatist group based in The Philippines.Biju has been working in Kuwait for the past nine years. He married a Philippine native, Eleena, who was also working in Kuwait, eight years ago.Speaking to Express, Shybu, Biju's brother said that Biju and family were on a vocation to Elena's house in The Philippines.
