Bangalore: A two-month-old baby girl died at a private hospital in Hassan district in Karnataka on Sunday following which her parents alleged that she died due to the negligence of the hospital authorities.
According to police, the baby was admitted to Rajeev Hospital in Hassan on Saturday complaining of breathing problems.
The parents allege that there was a syringe found in her hand. Following her death, her body was placed in the mortuary of a government hospital. There were reportedly rat bite marks found on the baby's body although police refuse to confirm this.
The complaint says the baby was given an overdose of medicines. An FIR has been registered under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code. Hassan police is investigating the case.
