BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday was not happy with the state government’s report on the action plan proposed to improve the conditions of elephants in the forests of the state and directed it submit a proper report in three weeks.Hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by counsel N Ravindranath Kamath, the division bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice Ashok B Hinchigeri, expressed displeasure stating, “We are not happy with the steps you are going to take to improve the elephants’ conditions in the forest.These things won’t help, you have to do more.” The court gave three weeks time to file the report and adjourned the matter for further hearing.
