London: More than 48 years after his assassination, former US President John F Kennedy's honeymoon pad -- a stunning mansion in Los Angeles -- has been put up for sale for a whopping 60 million pounds, a report said.

Apart from playing host to newlywed President Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline in 1953, the 29-bedroom property, nestled in the middle of the world famous 90210 postcode, was used for a number of scenes in Hollywood blockbuster 'The Godfather', 'South West News' reported.

The airy mansion, Beverly House, boasts 70,000 sq ft of interior space, has a 50-foot entry hall with loggia, living room with 22-foot high arched ceilings, and a library. It has 40 bathrooms, night club, cinema hall and a billiards room containing herringbone parquet floors and a stone fireplace.

The house was built in 1925 by English-born architect Gordon Kaufman, the man best known for his work on the Hoover Dam. It was bought by banker Milton Getz but its most famous owner was publishing giant William Randolph Hearst.
