Hong Kong: Hong Kong action movie star Jackie Chan is looking to bequeath half his fortune to charity, following in the footsteps of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates, local media reported on Thursday.
"I have also written a will. Half of my wealth goes to my charity and the remaining goes to my wife and son," Chan told a media conference on a tiger conservation campaign, the Apple Daily newspaper reported.
A source close to Chan - who's acted in Hollywood movies such as Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, told Reuters he had been working on his will for some time and was still reviewing it, adding his net worth was estimated at about Hong Kong $1 billion (US$128 million).
The donation to his Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation, which was founded in 1988 to help the needy and support performing arts, is close to about Hong Kong $500 million, the source said.
