New Delhi: It could have been easily be the song of decade. But the star studded song during the closing credit of 'Bombay Talkies' falls literally flat on its face and fails to impress viewers.
In spite of 20 of the leading stars in the music video - including two of the Khans - the video and the song itself has got brickbats from users of social media. Composed by Amit Trivedi and written by Swanand Kirkire - two of the finest musicians of present times- the song is a far cry from being an epic song that the makers had envisaged it to be. Trivedi, who gave beautiful music in several of the popular films last year fails to create a memorable tune in for the anthology film which only appears to be hurriedly put together.
From run of the mill tune to a hurriedly put together video, the song is perhaps the only let down in the otherwise brilliant film called 'Bombay Talkies'.
The song has got mixed reactions from people on Twitter. While most have stated that they are disappointed with the song as well as the video, some have mentioned that the montage that precedes the video in the film is definitely worth a watch and not to be missed.
