New Delhi: 'Ironman 3', which has Robert Downey Jr reprising his role of superhero industrialist Tony Stark from the first two films as well as last summer's 'The Avengers', got a good opening.
Hemant Panchamia MD, ESquare, Pune, says, "IM3 has taken an astronomical opening, all our properties are sold out and the demand for tickets is growing, we are exploring to add more shows. We are looking for a big weekend and with great reports the film is likely to score big numbers at Box office."
Gaurav Verma, Director, India Theatrical Distribution, Disney UTV, also echoed the same, "The initial response to Iron Man 3 is overwhelming, the film has opened very well across Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English languages. Every one is enjoying the film and film is likely to attract more and more viewers over the weekend. We are flooded already demand to roll out more prints."
Prakhar Joshi of PVR Cinemas is hopeful about the film's future at the box office, "Iron Man 3 has opened to full houses across our chain, there is a huge demand for the film and we are expecting a huge weekend. Its a treat for Iron man fans, they are enjoying the film and it looks set to rock box office for a long run."
Bhumika Tiwari, VP, Films and Programming, Fun Cinemas, also appeared enthusiastic about 'Iron Man 3', "Mind blowing - Splendid - Grand Opening. Beats all records for a Hollywood movie opening at Fun Cinemas. Weekend will only get better."
