BHUBANESWAR: The two-day inter-state school science exhibition, held at DAV Pokhariput, concluded on Friday. As many as 120 students from 40 schools from Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Orissa displayed their exhibits. The theme of the exhibition, organised by the CBSE, was ‘Science and Technology for challenges of life’. The exhibition covered a wide spectrum of exhibits based on green energy, bio-diversity, transport and communication, health, agriculture and technology. Among others, CBSE Regional Officer Dharampal Singh, CBSE Joint Secretary DTS Sudarshan Rao and MM Panda, chairman of DAV schools, visited the exhibition and encouraged the budding scientists.‘Golden gate’ opened: On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Sainik School here, the ‘Golden Jubilee Gate’ was inaugurated by Brig. Ajit Kumar, Inspecting Officer of Sainik Schools Society, New Delhi. Among others, Capt. KS Noor, Principal, office-bearers of old boys’ association, staff members and cadets were present.
