Maggi brand ambassadors including Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit were warned of action by the Centre if the advertisements for the noodles were found to be misleading.

Mumbai: Maharashtra and Karnataka FDAs on Monday conducted tests on Nestle's Maggi noodles and no harmful levels of lead have been found, sources said. Maharashtra FDA has sought re-verification of test results from Pune lab and the final results will be available in 48 hours.

Similarly, no aberration has been seen by Karnataka FDA. On the other hand the Delhi FDA is yet to receive Maggi test reports.

Maggi brand ambassadors including Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit were warned of action by the Centre if the advertisements for the noodles were found to be misleading.

On Monday, a case was lodged against Nestle India by UP food regulator FSDA in a Barabanki court in Uttar Pradesh over safety standards of its product Maggi.

Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta were also separately dragged to court for promoting the 'two-minute' noodles brand.

Nestle has maintained that it does not agree with the UP food regulator's order and it "is filing the requisite representations with the authorities".
