If you're a fan of the adrenaline-pumping series, you'd have realised that this film was different than the rest.

If you are a die-hard fan of the loud, adrenaline-pumping-special-effects-infused series 'Transformers', you will have realised that this film was a little different than the rest in the series. Why, you ask? Clearly, the film has been influenced by good ol' Bollywood! Don't believe us? Here are a few examples:

Trucks and cars flying in the air — a total Rohit Shetty move: We are sure you all agree to this one. The car tosses and vehicles being flung around the air was a total Rohit Shetty thing. The director, who is known flinging heavy-duty SUVs in fight sequences, can learn a thing or two from this film. Maybe we will see trucks flying in the air next time. Who knows?

The father-daughter emo bond is worthy of a Barjatya movie *sniff*: Oh come on. An over-protective father, dating rules and the sarcastic comments on the daughter’s clothes. And lets not forget the weird vibes between the boyfriend and the father. There’s a dash of nostalgia through family photos as well.

The car-chase (well truck-chase, really) is something we will definitely see in the next Abbas-Mustan movie: Cars chasing Autobots disguised as rickety old trucks, choppers swooping down on their prey, and one-liners amidst adrenaline-pumping cat-and-mouse chases. Now we are not sure who exactly the influencer and the infuencee are, but this is something that reminded us of the ”slick-slack” style of filmmaking by the Bollywood director duo.

What's your reaction?
