HMs punishment lands student in hospital

HYDERABAD:  A 12-year-old boy was hospitalised in Hyderabad on Wednesday after his health deteriorated following punishment of 100 sit-ups by his headmaster.Naveen Kumar, a student of class VII at ZP high school in Pudunur in Gadwal mandal, Mahaboobnagar district, was given punishment on July 26 after he was found playing out of the class.However, after the punishment, the boy collapsed. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital.  As his health deteriorated,  he was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.  Naveen’s parents lodged a complaint against the headmaster. Meanwhile, Gadwal tahsildar Jagadeeswar began inquiry into the incident.
