JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy advised Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to dissolve the Assembly for failing yet again to deliver effective governance.
Kumaraswamy told reporters on Monday that government employees are in no mood to work as their demands have been ignored by the state government. The CM refuses to respond to questions and is an escapist, he alleged.“The BJP was ranked number one in corruption. Under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme, over Rs 600 to 800 crore had been misappropriated,” he said.
He said other states had decreased state tax on oil prices. Karnataka is the only state which imposes 14.5 per cent VAT on different commodities, he lamented.
He added that all are welcome to enrol in the JD(S), but denied any possibility of an alliance with Yeddyurappa. “If an alliance is formed with Yeddyurappa there would be no meaning to the endless campaigns launched against him,” he added.
