HYDERBAD: Justice G Chandriah of the AP High Court on Wednesday suspended the order of Andhra University which removed the head of the Hindi department.The judge made the interim order while admitting a writ petition filed by Dr. Seeta Lakshmi who was removed from the Hindi department. She complained that the action was in utter violation of the principle of natural justice. She pointed out that her credentials entitled her to the chair.Recently, a report appeared in the media that there was a complaint against Dr Lakshmi by a section of students. She added that she volunteered and sought copies of the said complaint. But instead of supplying her with a copy, the authorities removed from the post, she complained.Petition to Vacate Stay Order Adjourned Justice Nooty Ram Mohan Rao of the AP High Court adjourned to Monday the petition seeking to vacate the stay granted on the Sompeta Thermal power station. Nagarjuna Constructions had filed an application to vacate the interim order. Senior counsel DV Sitaram Murthy pointed out that the Green Tribunal was aware of the matter and had taken cognizance of it and therefore the High Court need not examine the matter at this stage. The matter was adjourned to enable the state government to file its response.
