HC pulls up Munshi, other turncoats
Delhi HC has directed the Delhi police to take action against all the 29 witnesses who turned hostile.

New Delhi: It was not just Manu Sharma, Vikas Yadav and Amardeep Singh Gill who faced judgement day in the Jessica Lall murder case on Wednesday.

The Delhi High Court has also directed the Delhi police to take action against all the 29 witnesses who turned hostile, including small-time actor and model Shyan Munshi.

While passing the direction, the bench observed that these witnesses had "vitiated the administration of justice by not supporting the case".

The court clearly stated that Munshi was under Manu Sharma’s influence.

Interestingly, Delhi Police counsel Mukta Gupta said that during the trial Manu's family had tried to influence

the witnesses and "ultimately attempted to interfere in the administration of justice system".

The Bench, while issuing notices to all hostile witnesses in the Jessica Lall murder case, directed all of them to appear before the court on February 1.

The station house officer of Mehrauli police station has been directed to get the notices served on the 29 witnesses.

Delhi Police lawyer Mukta Gupta told the High Court that Manu, during trial, tried to influence the witnesses and "ultimately attempted to interfere in the administration of justice system".
