HC orders to impound seven cars

CHENNAI: Madras HC Chief Justice MY Eqbal ordered the seizure of seven cars (with yellow registration board), which were parked inside the HC campus, on Thursday.Following an oral complaint from Madras High Court Advocates Association president RC Paul Kanakaraj that the car parking slots meant for advocates were over-flowing with parking by outsiders, the CJ, accompanied by Justices D Murugesan and V Dhanpalan and Registrar-General S Vimala, made a visit to the places and found seven vehicles occupying the space. He directed the police to seize them.
