HASSAN: Breaking his silence over the speculations that BJP MLA and mining lord B Sriramulu was planning to join the JD(S), party supremo H D Deve Gowda said that he had not come across any such news.The former prime minister told reporters in Hassan that he would announce his decision after learning about Sriramulu’s move.Deve Gowda said that the Union government has been showing great concern over the protection of animals, including wild elephants, but the same concern was absent when it came to the protection of farmers and poor people in the country.Referring to the ongoing project of building a fourlane road between Hassan and Bangalore, the former chief minister of Karnataka said that the work should be completed in a time-bound banner
