At least twenty policemen were stationed at court for the Gawli to arrive.

But with the former don not appearing till afternoon, the court directed him to be present for his bail application hearing.

Gawli is wanted for allegedly demanding eighteen lakh rupees each from two business men when he forcibly brokered a truce between them.
