Games to see biggest turnout from Bihar

New Delhi: Unperturbed by the spate of killings in Assam, Bihar will send a 101-strong participating contingent for the National Games in Guwahati starting from February 9.

The Assam Government has already assured security to the participants, and Bihar Olympic Association secretary Mushtaq Ahmed acknowledged by saying the Bihar contingent will reach Guwahati on the eve of the opening day.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) had requested all the 33 participant members to send smaller contingent for secutiry reasons.

The Bihar team is slated to take part in events like athletics, fencing, swimming, triathlon, sepak takraw and gymnastics.
