A former bank manager was arrested by the police here on Saturday for sending threatening mails to a person for extorting Rs 50 lakh.
The accused, Sumit Roy (31), of Begumpet and a native of Malda, West Bengal decided to extort money from Sri Keshav, an account holder in the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was a senior relationship manager earlier. He left RBS and joined WNWM services from where he was removed for under performing.
