Ex-serviceman killed in hit-and-run

BANGALORE: In a hit and run case in Madivala traffic police station limits on Sunday night, an ex-serviceman was killed on the spot after a car hit the bike in which he was riding pillion. The incident occurred at Bommanahalli Junction on Hosur Road.The deceased has been identified as Arun Das (51), a resident of Tavarekere. His friend Amaresh, who was riding the bike, has sustained injuries. Amaresh is also an ex-serviceman. They were returning home after attending a wedding when the mishap occurred.
