Employment cell for engineering graduates

CHENNAI: Engineering graduates who have completed their BE and BTech examinations can register their qualification with the respective district employment office instead of travelling either to Chennai or Madurai where the professional and executive employment offices are located.The engineering graduates should go to their respective district employment office along with their professional marksheets, ration card, SSLC or Plus Two marksheet, community certificate and transfer certificate. The local employment officer will register these registrants either at professional and executive employment office, Chennai or Madurai, based on the district they reside. Besides, employment identity cards will be issued immediately after registration in the districts.So far, registration of engineering graduates is done at professional and executive employment offices at Chennai and Madurai. Each office caters to graduates from 16 districts in southern and northern Tamil Nadu. Now, in order to save time, avoid stress and transport expenditure, it is proposed that these engineering candidates can approach their local district employment exchanges for online registration.The results of BE, and BTech engineering examinations have been announced. About 61,200 engineering graduates have cleared these examinations and marksheets have been released recently.Last month, as per the orders of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, 4.80 lakh students who have passed Plus Two examinations were registered at their respective schools. This was done by integrating the database of the employment exchange with the database of the School Education Department.
