E-mail snooping: Biju Salim granted bail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Biju Salim, the Sub-Inspector under suspension and who is the first  accused in the controversial e-mail snooping case, was granted bail on Wednesday.  The Judicial First Class Magistrate court here granted  bail on strict conditions considering the sensitive nature of the e-mail snooping case. It is alleged that Biju  forged a letter of the police intelligence wing seeking e-mail account details of 258  prominent persons, all of whom were from a particular community.
