Early detection will help in treatment: Doctors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Early detection will help in the effective treatment of diabetes, said the participants of the seminar held as part of the Diabetes Day observance organised by the IMA in association with Diabetes Care Centre here on Monday.Inaugurating the observance, IMA state president Dr J Rajagopalan Nair said that the IMA will organise campaign programmes against lifestyle diseases.IMA secretary Dr A V Babu, Diabetes Care Centre head Dr Sreejith N Kumar, IMA leaders Dr G Vijayakumar, Dr C V Prasanth, nephrologist Dr Kashi Visweswaran and cardiologist Dr George Koshy spoke at the function.  Free diabetes detection camp and insulin bag distribution were also held as part of the programme. Around 800 persons attended the programme held at the Public Library, Palayam.
