CHENNAI: Doubts raised over utilisation of 100 kg of gold collected during the ‘Kanagabishekam’ of Chandrasekarendra Saraswathy, the previous chief pontiff of the Kanchi Mutt, resulted in the attack on him on September 20, 2002, auditor Radhakrishnan has said.While giving a prosecution evidence before the First Additional Sessions Judge K Dakshinamuthy, Radhakrishnan said he was not happy with the way in which the gold plating and renovation work was done in the Kamatchi Amman temple. After recording the evidence, the judge posted the case to June 12.
