It was double delight for Indian shooter Seema Tomar as she won individual gold in woman trap event and also combined with two others to claim team yellow metal in a career-best show at the 4th Asian Shotgun Championship on Monday.
Seema, who hails from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, shot a credible 97 (72+12+13) in the final stage of competition to beat Mariya Dmitriyenko of Kazakhstan to second place.
This is a career best result in international competition for Seema as her previous best was a silver winning effort, four years back at the World Cup in Dorset, United Kingdom.
Seema?s effort also helped the Indian Women?s team bag the Team Gold in Trap, as she combined with Shagun Chaudhary and Shreyasi Singh to shoot a total of 207, edging out Japan (203) and South Korea (199).
Individually, Shreyasi shot 68, while Shagun ended up with a 67.
